Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% Jun 7–Tue, 3.1% from Jan 1
MOSCOW, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation amounted to 0.1% between June 7 and Tuesday and reached 3.1% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Thursday.
Prices for buckwheat increased 1.1% in the reported period, sugar prices rose 0.6%, prices for frozen fish, pasta, vodka and caramel grew 0.3%.
Egg prices fell 2.1%, while prices for pork, milk, cheese, millet and rice decreased 0.1–0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables rose 0.3% on average. Prices for potatoes grew 7.7%, onion prices rose 0.8%, tomatoes prices increased 0.6%, and carrot prices grew 0.4%. Cucumber prices fell 5.6% and cabbage prices decreased 3.8%.
Gasoline prices rose 0.3% and diesel fuel prices fell 0.2%.
